Course Overview

Prerequisite: Carbine Combatives (or instructor approval)

Gun fights are rarely static – people are moving as the situation changes dynamically and rapidly.  In this class we focus on the problem of height over bore and ballistic trajectory as it applies to engaging targets at various distances.

Course Outline

• Universal Firearm Safety Rules
• Flow Drills (ready/carry positions)
• Presentation while moving offline
• Discussion over height over bore and rise/fall of bullet
• Engaging a very close target (within 10’) – “indexed based aiming”
• Engaging a near target (~30’) – threat-focused shooting
• Engaging a target at ~50’ – sighted fire
• Transitioning rapidly from near to far, far to near

Course Requirements

• Must be 18 or older
• Rifle: AR platforms, AK platforms, or pistol-caliber carbines
• Rentals available for $25
• 60rds of Ammunition*Must use our ammunition in rental guns
• 2 Magazines
• Ear and Eye Protection (Loaners Available)
• Weapons Mounted Flashlight
• Elbow and Knee Pads recommended
